The Bashtoo Project – Sponsored by LUCID Microsystems

September – November 2025

AIT collaboration with THE Tech

We are pleased to announce a new collaboration between CAEDMI (Center for Advanced Electronic Device and Materials Innovation) and Lucid Microsystems, a leading developer and manufacturer of GaN PMIC and power solutions.

This partnership, known as the LUCID–CAEDMI Project, will focus on the characterization and analysis of GaN-based integrated circuits (ICs). Over the course of three months (September–November 2025), our teams will work closely to generate valuable insights and technical data to advance next-generation semiconductor technology.

Project Scope

  • GaN IC Characterization – performing detailed electrical measurements and evaluating performance across various test conditions.

  • Bench Data Collection – acquiring key measurement data to support troubleshooting and performance enhancement.

  • Mass Sample Data Collection – analyzing large datasets from IC samples to identify trends, patterns, and potential anomalies.

Expected Outcomes

The project aims to:

  • Accelerate the identification and resolution of technical challenges,

  • Enhance the performance and reliability of Lucid’s GaN ICs,

  • Strengthen the long-term technical partnership between Lucid Microsystems and CAEDMI.

Activities

CAEDMI will lead the setup of evaluation boards, perform detailed data collection, and prepare comprehensive technical reports.
Lucid Microsystems will conduct advanced data analysis and guide iterative design improvements.
Regular joint meetings will ensure alignment and progress throughout the project timeline.

This collaboration is structured as a project-based agreement, with a total budget of $4,500 and a duration from September to November 2025, culminating in a final technical report.

The LUCID–CAEDMI Project marks another important step for CAEDMI in strengthening international partnerships and contributing to the advancement of GaN and semiconductor technologies.
